Social Cohesion and Coexistence Program Held Under the Theme “Let Us Get to Know Each Other”
A program on social cohesion and peaceful coexistence under the theme “Let Us Get to Know Each Other” was held on 03 July 2025 at the Warakapola Divisional Secretariat.
The primary objective of the program was to promote interfaith harmony and coexistence by enhancing participants’ understanding of religious teachings as well as Muslim cultural traditions and practices. The event was jointly organized under the guidance of Warakapola Divisional Secretary Mr. Rangana Sajeeva and the Warakapola Mosque Federation.
In addition, students of Tanweer Academy presented several performances and activities highlighting Islamic values and the cultural heritage of the Muslim community.
The event was attended by Mrs. Kusum Bandara, Additional District Secretary (Administration) of Kegalle, the Officer-in-Charge of the Warakapola Police Station, and officers of the Warakapola Divisional Secretariat.
