Vesak Lantern Competition – 2026
To commemorate the sacred Triple Anniversary of the Lord Buddha, a Vesak lantern design competition was held with great enthusiasm among the divisions of the Warakapola Divisional Secretariat.
The competition was organized under the guidance and supervision of the Divisional Secretary of Warakapola. Its main objective was to promote unity, cooperation, and team spirit among the divisions, while also providing an opportunity for employees to showcase their creativity and artistic talents.
A special condition of the competition required participants to create Vesak lanterns using waste and recyclable materials. Accordingly, each division demonstrated remarkable creativity and teamwork by presenting beautifully designed lanterns.
The enthusiasm, dedication, and cooperation shown by officers from all divisions made a significant contribution to the success of this event.
