“Panhindaka Mansala” 2025
The Regional Literary and Arts Festival “Panhindaka Mansala”, organized by the Warakapola Divisional Secretariat, was held in a grand and colorful manner on 09 October 2025 at the Parakum Open-Air Theatre.
The event was organized under the guidance and leadership of Warakapola Divisional Secretary Mr. Rangana Sajeeva and Assistant Divisional Secretary Mrs. Shashika Koralage, with the support and participation of the Cultural Affairs Unit and other officers of the Divisional Secretariat.
Among those who attended the event were Hon. Manoj Rajapaksa, Member of Parliament for the Kegalle District, Mr. Chandana Edirisinghe, Chairman of the Warakapola Pradeshiya Sabha, the Divisional Secretaries of Ruwanwella and Dehiowita, the Deputy Director (Planning) of the Kegalle District Secretariat, all senior officers of the Warakapola Divisional Secretariat, officers of the District and Regional Cultural Councils, schoolchildren, parents, and many other invitees.
During the festival, certificates and prizes were awarded to the winners of the regional literary competitions in recognition of their achievements.
As the main literary presentation of the event, the artistic program “Jana Nada”, inspired by traditional folk songs, was performed with the participation of the Cultural Affairs Unit and other officers of the Divisional Secretariat.
The occasion was further enriched by a variety of cultural performances presented by the students of the Warakapola Rangadhari Arts Centre, adding color, vibrancy, and artistic excellence to the festival.
